Including new Road Series models, FSC certified acoustics and more.

Following the announcement of the limited-edition David Gilmour signature models last week, acoustic guitar heavyweights Martin have offered a taste of what’s in store for the brand in 2021, releasing a stack of new models in anticipation of Believe In Music this week. festivities.

In one of the most unique launches we’ve seen so far, Martin’s new 00L Earth guitar aims to highlight the impact of climate change with its eye-catching design.

Inspired by Greta Thunberg and painted by frequent Martin collaborator Robert Goetzl, the 00L Earth guitar is 100% FSC-certified and 100% plastic-free.

Also new to the Martin lineup for 2021 is the 12-string Grand J-16E, which seeks to tickle the imagination of jangly folk fans with its jumbo body size and scalloped X-bracing for a sparkling resonant tone.

It’s built with a spruce top and satin-finish East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, while a Fishman Matrix VT Enhance preamp system ensures it’ll sound as good amped as it is unplugged.

Martin has also expanded its Road series with two new Ziricote guitars – the GPC-13E and D-13E.

These models feature Ziricote veneer back and sides, with both guitars featuring a spruce top and Fishman MX-T electronics.

There’s also the new StreetMaster DJR-10E series, an affordable Junior Dreadnought guitar crafted from sapele and featuring a worn top for a raw, ready aesthetic. This one also accommodates a slimmer body shape and 24-inch scale neck, while a Fishman Sonitone USB pickup makes it a breeze to record and perform.
