DONNER ELECTRIC GUITARS BRINGS A 90s ROCK VIBE TO THE PRIVATE POLICY NYFW SHOW

SEPTEMBER 14, 2022 — NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Donner, a leading maker of innovative, feature-rich musical instruments, made its NYFW debut when it partnered with Private Policy to showcase Donner’s electric guitars at the New York Fashion show New York-based brand’s Week on September 10. With the title “Noah’s Ark”, which emphasized the importance of peace and love, Private Policy’s latest collection was associated with Donner’s DST-400 Seeker series electric guitars and his series electric guitars. DST-152 Seeker, and were held by the models as they walked the Spring Summer 2023 Runway Show. The NYFW event also featured Donner’s musical instruments in the form of a band setup, including the DJP -1000 Semi Hollow Jazz Guitar with a vintage sunburn finish and the HUSH-I Silent Guitar with a revolutionary design. This is the first time a musical instrument brand has been featured at New York Fashion Week.

On the track, Donner’s DST-400 Seeker Series Electric Guitar and DST-152 Seeker Series Electric Guitar completed two of the looks. Aimed at young and beginning artists, the DST-152 electric guitar is available in four different colors: Ice Blue, All White, Red/Black and Sunburst. With the well-balanced HSS pickup layout, the DST-152 creates a warm, vintage sound that recreates the vintage vibe of 90s rock and roll music.

The DST-152 guitar appeared in a creamy white color, adding a sexy, retro touch to the model’s white halter top and silk skirt ensemble, while the black and white DST-400 guitar added to an outfit that embodies the epitome of cool: a fuzzy patterned black and white button-up shirt with skinny pants.

“When we designed the collection, we had in mind the rocker look, effortless and full of attitude, and bringing that free spirit to our interpretation today,” said Siying Qu of Private Policy. “So it was perfect that we could partner with Donner and not only have electric guitars on the track, but also a full band setup for the guests to play. It was a real party of music and of fashion.

As a young brand in the musical instrument industry, Donner pays particular attention to the voice of young artists and Gen-Z, making it easier for them to find connections with brands like Private Policy. Freelance artist Jon Dretto, who attended the event and is no stranger to Donner’s electric guitar, made his way backstage to test the Donner DST-152 for himself and the shared with his 5 million online followers. Judging by the way his fingers effortlessly strummed the guitar strings, it’s clear that Donner is both style and substance – just like Private Policy.
